All my training has kept me character focused, not even realizing it, until now, after completing the Mine Your Script course. This course has, THANKFULLY, ended my quest & clarified it all for me!!!! I learned a TON about all the different facets of story structure depending on the medium/genre, script analysis, & FINALLY a way to streamline it for auditions. I HIGHLY recommend this course!!!!

So, here’s the deal: In-depth script analysis when you book the job is different than breaking down a script for an audition. In-Depth script analysis can take weeks or months. You might actually be in the middle of shooting and still discover things in the script. That kind of work doesn’t help you with auditions. Especially now, when the turnaround times for self-tapes are getting shorter and shorter. You need to be able to make smart decisions quickly.
This is where Action Analysis for auditions is KEY. Asking the RIGHT questions that keep you on the trajectory of the story and help you focus your homework.

“Loved this course! So clear and so specific. Anna is right, they don't teach you this kind of stuff in grad school. Learning how to break down a tv/film side, beat by beat, takes practice and a keen understanding of storytelling. And I loved the fact that once you know the "tools", you can do script analysis pretty quickly. Practice is the key though! I'm excited to implement this kind of training on my next auditions! Thanks Anna! ”
“Anna is the best coach for self tapes I’ve ever worked with. As an actress herself, she brings all she has to the session. She offers up her instincts with so much generosity and conviction that it really helps take you where you need to go. I’ve always felt so proud of the work we’ve done together and I feel like I continue to learn so much from her. She is truly the best.”

“Anna explains script analysis in such detail, and she makes it fun. It's eye-opening, and I'm excited to work on telling the story now versus trying to get it right. Live the life and tell the story, story, story! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Anna! ”
“Anna LaMadrid is hands down the best coach I have ever worked/taped with. She’s not only one of my most favorite comedic actresses, she has a unique understanding of how to actually direct comedy. She just gets it. But most importantly, she is a master at breaking down and then emphasizing character in the sometimes narrow context of a single scene. A seemingly simple moment of depth that will undoubtedly take you that extra mile with casting. I trust her implicitly. Work with Anna! You will book!”
“This is gold. Thank you Anna. I honestly thought I was going to know everything you were going to say and was prepared to just treat this as a refresher course. But your approach to looking at text for an audition specifically vs once booked the role was so eye-opening. So grateful, and feel very excited for my next audition to put this to work. ”
