What We Will Cover in 4 Weeks

Activity/Action Challenge.

You have to know the rules before you break them. Doing action in scenes is like Goldilocks--too little and it doesn't make sense, too much and it becomes distracting. Let us help you find the balance.

  • "Can I use a prop? Some CDs don't like them."
  • "I'm supposed to be still in front of camera, right?"
  • "Do I ignore the action or do it all?"
Holiday Rom/Com Challenge.

Finding the sweet spot in holiday and rom-com scenes is like making the perfect cup of hot cocoa—too sugary and it's over the top, too bland and you lose the magic. Let us help you nail that perfect balance.

  • "Should I play up the comedy or keep it grounded?"
  • "How do I make these familiar tropes feel fresh?"
  • "Do I need to match the energy of the genre or tone it down for camera?"
Procedural Challenge.

Mastering procedural scenes is like solving a complex case—too technical and you lose the humanity, too emotional and you lose the authority. We can help you find that perfect balance to bring the scene to life.

  • "How do I make medical/legal jargon sound natural?"
  • "Should I play the status of my character or keep it conversational?"
  • "Do I need to know all these technical terms perfectly?"
Series Regular Challenge.

This is your chance to put all the tools you have been learning into practice!

How do you take care of story while still bringing your unique perspective. Let's give you some guardrails to support your creativity.

  • "How do I show range without doing too much?"
  • "Should I make bold choices or play it safe?"
  • "How much backstory should I bring into the room?"
Will I receive feedback in every class? No, but you will receive feedback at least once.

And here's why...

Due to class size, we will not be giving feedback to every tape submitted.

Selected tapes will be used to highlight lessons and tips for you to apply a critical eye to your self-tapes.

We want to arm you with the tools to take ownership of your creative process and feel confident working on your tapes on your own.

No more "actor guru" mentality.

ARE YOU READY TO HAVE SOME FUN?

Re-discover and reclaim your creativity with your self-tape auditions. Get in community and be inspired.
