Slaytember
Are You Ready?

Real
Casting.
Real Notes.

In this class, working industry professionals from television and film join us for the Week 3 chemistry read and tape review. This isn't just a class about the industry — it's a real seat inside it.

Week 3 · Live Chemistry Read

You Can't Control The Odds

You Can Control The Room.

The industry is changing fast, and it can feel like so much is out of your control — what's getting made, who's casting, whether there's a place for you at all.

What you can control is everything between now and your next audition: the choices, the read, how you adapt on the spot and build chemistry with a scene partner you just met.

Those are the same skills more actors are leaning on as they self-produce and cast their own work instead of waiting on a narrowing pipeline.

Most actors never get specific feedback on how their tapes are landing — not just the technical checklist, but the storytelling. Slaytember closes that gap: a real casting process, self-tape to callback to chemistry read, with notes from actual industry professionals and working actors who are booking right now.

This isn't a workshop about auditions. It's the audition process itself — with nowhere to hide and nothing to lose.

How Slaytember Works

Built Different On Purpose

No pressure to impress. This is a process class designed to help you grow
— without the stress.

Everyone Gets The Same Sides
Selection, Not Rejection

When every actor tackles identical material, you see how many true, specific ways there are to play a single character. There's no "right" choice — only your choice, made with conviction.

Different Eyes On Every Tape
Working Actors First. Then Industry Professionals.

Every student gets two types of notes. Process notes from working actors who book off self-tape themselves. Results notes from the Industry Professionals deciding how it's landing.

The Only Rule
Bring Your Essence, Not The Breakdown

This isn't about hitting every beat "correctly." It's about bringing what only you can bring to the role. Focus on the story you're telling — not the box you think you're supposed to check.

Three Weeks: Here's What You Get

The Casting Process,

This class, we're working on a comedy pilot.

  • New self-tape sides for students not in chem read callbacks
  • Chem read selects receive notes to deepen their work
Week 3 · Thursday, Oct 8
Live Chemistry Reads
With Industry Professionals

  • Experience how your performance shifts with a different scene partner
  • Direct insight into what stands out for decision makers

Common Questions

Quick Answers.

Who is this class for?
Actors with some on-camera experience — co-stars, guest stars, or extensive training — who want real feedback measured against actual industry standards. This isn't a beginner intro to self-tape; it's a stress test for actors who already know the basics and want to know what's next.
What's the difference between Participate and Audit?
Participating students (297 USD) submit tapes at every stage and get feedback — process notes from working actors, results notes from Industry Professionals — with a shot at the Week 3 live chemistry read. Auditors (77 USD) get all the materials, the full replay, and the live Q&A with Industry Professionals, but don't submit tapes for feedback.
Do I need to attend live?
This is a three-week live class, and you'll get the most out of it by showing up live each week. That said, every session is recorded — so nothing's lost if life gets in the way.
When do sides go out?
Sides for Week 1 release Sept 17. You'll receive your full script and choice of sides through the course.
What if I'm not selected for a chemistry read?
Every participating student receives specific industry feedback on their Week 3 tape, whether or not they're selected for the live chemistry read. Anna and Alyshia place each student where they'll be represented best that week — sometimes that's live, sometimes it's on tape — and it's never a reflection of talent. It's selection, not rejection.
